Alpha check sources are often required for daily function checks to identify consistent alpha meter operation in field conditions. ERG Th-230 alpha sources require review of an NRC/Agreement State radioactive materials license prior to rental. ERG Po-210 alpha sources are exempt quantity sources. All ERG alpha sources are exempt quantity as defined in Title 49 CFR 170.436 (DOT).
