Ion Chambers

ERG has an inventory of High-Pressure Ionization Chambers (HPIC) for making true energy-independent exposure rate measurements. The RS-Detection is also known by their history of manufacturer's names Reuter-Stokes, GE-Energy, and Baker-Hughes. The HPIC is often used in conjunction with hand-held gamma detectors to correlate gamma count per minute (cpm) to exposure rates in microroentgen per hour (µR/hr).
