ERG 102F Alpha/Beta Surface Contamination Monitor

High-accuracy indoor alpha/beta surveys where GPS is limited or unavailable

img-menu1

Our proven technology has been successfully used by numerous DOE laboratories and industrial sites.

The automated alpha/beta floor monitor offers superior performance and significant time savings. Position-correlated data are automatically recorded, processed, and presented on the on-board computer in real time, providing the operator with an immediate assessment of the area being scanned.

Consistent and reliable performance is assured by precisely controlling the speed and the height of the detector above the floor surface. Data transcription and location-related errors are eliminated by eliminating human error.

Real-time mapping ensures that total scanning coverage is obtained and provides immediate feedback to the operator regarding the contamination levels prior to leaving the area. The 102F not only eliminates the errors associated with traditional hand scanning, it allows the same work to be performed with approximately 10% of the manpower.

Real-Time Mapping

Ensure total scanning coverage is obtained and provides immediate feedback to the operator regarding the contamination levels prior to leaving the area.

Consistent and Reliable Performance

User-set scan speed and detector height for consistent and reliable radiation detection capabilities.

Eliminates Data Transcription

Electronic data recording and automatic conversion from counts to surface concentration eliminates transcriptions errors and significantly speeds up the data processing tasks.

Advanced Mapping and Data Processing Software

From function checking to Shapefile export, the 102F software simplifies each step of data collection process.

The 102F includes a laptop with all the necessary software for collecting and processing the surface contamination data. The advanced mapping software provides a real-time view of the room wall, survey data, and array position to ensure full coverage of the scanning area. Areas of concern are easily determined while surveying through the use of user-set thresholds for alpha and beta count rate.

High-Accuracy Indoor Positioning

Centimeter precision with minimal setup and no external beacons

The 102F uses a single infrared scanning laser interfaced to the ERG software to determine the position of all six ZnS detectors within the room. No external beacons are required and the initial setup in each room only takes seconds.
