A new way to collect spatially-correlated indoor gamma data.

ERG was one of the first companies to revolutionize the process of collecting spatially correlated gamma data in outdoor environments using advancements in GPS. Since then, the GPS-based gamma survey has become the standard for the radiation characterization, remediation, and FSS processes.

ERG is now pleased to offer this same this same capability indoors where GPS is limited or not available. The system utilizes a single advanced scanning laser to continuously map the room and determine the position of up to three detector simultaneously.

The Real-Time Indoor Survey (RIGS) system field computer includes all necessary software to perform the functions associated with on-board equipment, including instrument function checks, surveying, and data export. An additional software utility is included to combine all collected survey data and perform data analysis functions, such as viewing survey data statistics and merging data filed. The system has been proven to significantly improve data quality, efficiency, and reporting.

Eliminates Data Transcriptions

Electronic data recording eliminates the need to grid and record measurements manually.

Real-Time Mapping

Ensures total scanning coverage is obtained and provides immediate feedback to the operator of the gamma levels in the survey area.

No External Beacons

The positioning system utilizes a single on-board scanning laser capable of determining the detector position within 3-cm and only takes seconds to initialize when scanning a room.
